Small consignment of ultra premium Solomon Islands cacao beans arriving in land of the long white cloud 😊

A container with premium Solomon Islands cacao beans is now on the high seas to customers in Europe😊 Within hours of sealing the container there was a large rain event with local flooding. Very fortunate timing so thanks God for watching over us. I still asked for container to be opened again for a water inspection afterwards in the freight yards 😁 All bags with GrainPro inside. This shipment will be split at first destination for multiple customers so I decided to use single GrainPro instead of their larger TSL container liner.

Much needed supplies of premium sundried Solomon Islands cacao beans arrived safely into Brisbane this week to ensure some of our Australian chocolate maker customers had some beans after a fruitful Xmas! Includes some lovely beans from Western Province, Guadalcanal and Makira. Packed in @grainproinc_ super grain bags as 25kg bags to suit Australian couriers 😉

This is how bags of cacao beans or copra (coconut) get from outer islands in the Solomons to the central island of Guadalcanal where the international port is located. In this case these are 80-90kg bags of copra. They have come from a village, down to the coast to be loaded onto a dinghy then onto a ship that will take the bags into Guadalcanal.
